My Bestfriend was stolen in Kindergarten

Yes it’s true my best friend was stolen in Kindergarten and believe it or not I have still not made my peace with it! Conspiracy began at that ‘tender’ (puh!) age! Nevertheless I cannot deny having met so many remarkable people through the years. And in that light the loss I was talking about doesn’t really matter.
I made my first real friend in the 8th standard. Honey was on no mission to reform me. And I was so grateful for that! She is my diva. Sumeet, the alleged boyfriend of mine, was so much more than that! And I can’t begin to describe how he always rode shotgun in the scariest of times. The next person on my list started off as a brat but it wasn’t long before everyone was convinced he was a brat alright but with a big heart. I would describe P.K as one of the few genuine persons. Pawar is Mr.Practical. He always seems to know what would work and what wouldn’t. Madhavi is more than a friend. She is family. We have had the longest conversations about everything we knew and still we never ran out of topics.
My beginning with college life was…now how do I describe it.. well, it blew. I was in a college that wasn’t, for me, a choice at all. After studying for 14yrs in the same school I was biased and highbrow. But with Renu and Poorni around I ended up having the most exciting time till date! It was Renu who made me realize that I was being such a stiff neck. She shook me up and taught me how to have fun. Meet my soul mate Poorni. A voracious reader, (she even reads my mind sometimes ;)) a lovely person most importantly dependable!
Getting my masters was not a cakewalk and making friends something unimaginable. Mainly because COMPETITION was the watch word. Life took me by surprise when I met the most awesomest people in this whole world. I wouldn’t be half the person I am today if it wasn’t for the ‘Elements’ (that’s how we called ourselves). A strong, confident woman who could make the worst situations manageable is Cucks. You know how it hurts most times when people say things to your face? Well you wouldn’t if it was Anna saying it. She is subtly forthright. Ochi is the one with the halo. She is evenhanded and always makes us look at the other side of things. And Lachu is the gracious affectionate one in the group. One common attribute that makes them exceptional is that they wouldn’t think twice when it came to friends.
Asha, who has always been there for me be it Accounts problems that just wouldn’t tally, project data that needed to be manipulated or a movie that I didn’t want to watch alone.  God knows what I would’ve done without her. The most attractive guy in town is of course Shibas. Not only is the man great looking, he can make you laugh till you have tears rolling down your cheeks. Raeez was my comforter in dire straits. He would make me believe that things would in time fall in place.
Two of my feigned friends back in school told me when they would be busy building their carriers I would be sitting at home tending to babies. (I am so happy I left them back in school) Now I ask them to count their true friends and decide for themselves who has made progress.

AWWWW!That's so sweet! Friends are the best thing that can happen to you!It was my "friend" who showed me that I was as good as or even better than most people around me. She was the one who gave me the shot of confidence that i needed when I was actually on the brink of losing it all!
Thanks Radu for reminding me!!!!
